A mid-20th century small silver hip flask, of rounded rectangular form, having engine turned decoration to the whole, with bayonet lock mechanism to lid, and engraved initials 'M. B. M.', hallmarked Chester 1953, height 3.75 (10cm), weight 2.76 ozt (85.7 grams). Together with a plated hip flask, the slightly curved oblong clear glass body with leather cover and plated bottom half, with screw thread lid, and a smaller plated example with leather cover (3). Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. No maker's mark for silver hip flask. Taller plated hip flask has stiff lid.
