A pair of William IV Irish silver coasters, each of circular barrel form with twin handles and raised reeded border detail enclosing engraved crests to one side, depicting a lion and a forearm holding aloft a dagger. Hallmarked Dublin 1830 with marks for Edward Power and Edward Twycross. Rim diameter 5.25 (13.5cm), weight 27 ozt (840 grams). Both appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some expected surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing consistent with the age and use.Some deeper scratches, nicks and contact marks to some areas, particularly visible to interiors. One interior with some residues and spots of tarnishing to the inner rim. Seam or construction lines visible at the handle joins, when viewed from interior. Surface rubbing with some slight loss of detail to engraved crests.Hallmarks located to the underside, these clear and legible with minor wear.Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
