A George V plain silver hip flask, the rounded rectangular and slightly curved form with removable cup to lower body and hinged lid with bayonet closing. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd., London 1918. Height 5 (12.7cm), gross weight 6.43 ozt (200 grams). Appears in good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A couple of very slight dints to one of the upper corners and pitting/little holes along the seam line. Removable cup is a good fit. Heavier contact marks to lower body caused from the pulling on and off of the cup. Hinge pin protruding on one side but in good working order and lid closes securely. Hallmarks located to main body and to cup, these rubbed but legible. Cup also with impressed maker's name and address to base. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
