A mid-Victorian silver snuff box, the rectangular form with scalloped edge and foliate decoration enclosing a vacant oblong to the hinged lid, opening to a plain silver interior. Hallmarked Alfred Taylor, Birmingham 1854. Length 2.75 (7cm), weight 2ozt (62.6 grams). Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.Some slight cracks to rim of base.Hinge quite stiff.
