An Edwardian silver card case, the scroll-edge rectangular form ornately engraved to the whole with scrolling foliage enclosing a monogrammed shield cartouche to the front, in fitted box. Hallmarked George Unite & Sons, Birmingham 1903. Measuring 3.25 (8.3cm) by 2 (5cm), weight 1.32 ozt (41 grams). Appears in good overall condition, displaying some expected surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing consistent with the age and use.Some slightly heavier wear around edges and corners. Decoration still appears fairly crisp, would benefit from a clean and polish.Hinged lid appears in good working order and closes flush. Hallmarks located to inner rim, maker's mark slightly rubbed but otherwise in good order. Matching date letter struck to lid. Box displaying general expected wear. Hinge and clasp in good order.
