An early 20th century Russian silver and enamel kovsh, decorated to the whole with polychrome cloisonné enamel panels of floral, foliate and other stylised patterns and set with cabochon stones, surrounding an enamel landscape scene to the front. Struck to the base with the second Kokoshnik mark for Moscow, 88 standard, and cyrillic maker's mark possibly for Fyedor Ruckert (1890-1917). Height to handle 7.5 (19cm). Appears in good overall condition, displaying general expected surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Silver is heavily tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish. Cloisonné enamel panels appear in good order with colours retaining brightness. With some dirt or substance residues and some minor cracks/holes/losses. Landscape panel with some surface scratches and a couple of small holes around the edge.Cabochon stones are probably garnets.Assay marks clear and legible.
