A Scottish provincial silver toddy ladle, the bowl of oval form, in plain Fiddle pattern with crest engraving to terminal. Various marks of flower head struck twice, WJ, thistle and letter A, possibly William Jamieson, Aberdeen. Length 6.5 (16.5cm), weight 28.2 grams. In good condition, displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Crest of Grant, reading 'Standfast' engraved to terminal.The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible.Some areas of heavier tarnishing that would benefit from a clean and polish.
