A German pepper pot of inverted pear shape with pierced cover, decorated with a village fete scene depicting dancing figures, Hanau pseudo-marks to base including a crowned B, seated lion, 800 and further marked Germany, height 4 1/5 inches (11.5 cm). Together with a small silver import bowl of twin-handled oval form, raised on four splay feet and decorated throughout with flower-head and scroll motifs against a diaper pattern, hallmarked Berthold Muller, Chester 1901 with the Foreign mark, length including handles 4 1/4 inches (10.8 cm). Weight 5.87 ozt (182.4 grams). (2). Both pieces displaying some general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches. The pepper has an approx. 1.5 cm split or crack to the body and further small holes and repairs. General light rubbing to decoration with some loss of surface detail or definition. Lid appears unmarked. The bowl displays minor dints/nicks, possible repairs to rim and visible seam line through the centre. Hallmarks are clear and legible with some light rubbing.
