An early twentieth century silver dessert set, for twelve place settings, each with slightly tapered mother-of-pearl handle (one fork missing), in fitted mahogany veneer case with removable tray. Hallmarked Martin Hall & Co Ltd., Sheffield 1912. Knives and forks appear in good overall condition, displaying some expected surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Some general tarnishing to silver parts. Fork tines and knife blades have generally faired well, most retaining sharpness to tips. Fork tines have mostly retained their shape and evenness of length, some are at a slight angle. Hallmarks clear and legible.Case with general expected wear but in good condition overall.
