A Victorian silver goblet, the tapering bowl with twin opposed vacant cartouche each within engraved foliate scroll surround, raised on a knopped stem to a spread circular foot with bead detail. Hallmarked Walker & Hall (John Edward Bingham), Sheffield 1877. Height 7 3/4 inches (19.7 cm), weight 9.52 ozt (296 grams). Displaying some tarnishing and expected surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. A few minor surface nicks or very slight dints. Decoration appears bright and crisp with minimal loss of surface detail. Likely repair around the knop of the stem. The beaded edge of the knop has lost much of the detail and definition on one side. The stem of the goblet now has a slight lean so that the goblet appears taller on one side. Hallmarks rubbed but all still legible.
