A George V silver rose bowl, of plain circular form with personal engraving, having foliate pierced scroll top rim and raised upon a spreading circular foot. Hallmarked William Devenport, Birmingham 1928. Diameter 7 3/4 inches (19.5cm), weight 17.78 ozt (553.3 grams). With surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Some heavier scratches to foot and sides of bowl, foot with knocks and some compression, bowl unsteady as a result. Pierced foliate rim with knocks and misshapen in places. Hallmarks slightly worn but legible. Possibly lacking mesh grille. With applied paper labels to interior or bowl and beneath foot, alongside some applied pads beneath foot.
