An Edwardian silver shell butter dish raised upon three ball feet, hallmarked Harrison Brothers & Howson, Sheffield 1902, length 4 1/4 inches (11cm), and another similar modern example, hallmarked A Chick & Sons Ltd, London 1977. Together with a small cheese toasting dish, of rectangular form with oak handle and raised upon four hoof feet, the hinge opening cover with shell thumb-piece and foliate detailed border, enclosing a scroll surround shield surmounted with a lion, hallmarked Garrard & Co Ltd, Birmingham 1962, length including handle 6 inches (15.2 cm). Gross weight 7.66 ozt (238.5 grams). (3). The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Edwardian better dish handle slightly bent.Toasting dish cover slightly loose, with personal engraving to interior of cover.
