朝 戈 1957年生于内蒙古呼和浩特。1982年毕业于中央美术学院油画系。曾于1993年至1995年赴俄罗斯、美国进行学术考察并举办展览。2000年至2001年间，获西班牙国家奖学金，赴马德里皇家美术学院学习，并对欧洲各国进行艺术考察。现任中央美术学院油画系副主任，中国美术学院教授。中国油画学会会员，中国美术家协会会员。作品曾获“首届中国油画展”优秀作品奖。
Chao Ge was born in Hohhot, Inner Mongolian in 1957. He graduated from Oil Painting Department of China Central Academy of Fine Artsin 1982. From 2000 to 2001, he pursued further study in Madrid Royal Academy of Fine Arts on Spanish State Scholarship. Currently he is professor and Deputy Dean of Oil Painting Department at China Central Academy of Fine Arts, a member of China Artists Association and China Oil Painting Society.
