张充仁 1907年生于上海。1914年进入土山湾美术工场照相制版间随爱尔兰籍导师习素描及法文。1931至1935年留学比利时，在布鲁塞尔皇家美术学习雕塑。1936年在上海举办归国展览，开办“充仁画室”。历任之江大学教授，上海美专教授，中国美术家协会上海分会副秘书长，上海油画雕塑创作室主任。
Zhang Chongren was born in Shanghai in 1907. In 1914, he entered Tushanwan Fine Arts Workshop Plate Making Studio. He attended advanced studies in the Department of Sculpture, Royal College of Art in Brussels, Belgium in 1931. He held solo oil painting and sculpture exhibitions in Shanghai and established 'Chongren Art Studio'. Zhang was professor at Zhijiang University and Shanghai Art College, Vice Secretary General of China Artists Association, Shanghai Branch and Director of Shanghai Oil Painting and Sculpture Studio.
