A George III silver caddy spoon, modelled as a jockey's cap with embossed vacant cartouche to peak, and star and foliate detail, with scalloped rim to back of cap, hallmarked Birmingham 1798, with maker's mark I T. Together with a similar modern example, hallmarked Francis Howard Ltd, Sheffield 1963. Total weight 19.2 grams. Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Slight dents to rims of caps, with greater lifting on later example. Some areas of greater tarnishing that would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks appeared rubbed, but are legible. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
