A George III caddy spoon, the bowl of scalloped form with chequered pattern decoration, and foliate detail to oblong shaped handle, hallmarked William Pugh, Birmingham 1813. Together with two modern examples, one with bowl of shell form and further applied shell motif to terminal, hallmarked Albert Edward Jones, Birmingham 1977, the other in the shape of a jockey's cap, hallmarked Francis Howard Ltd., Sheffield 1969. Total weight 1.2ozt (36.9 grams). (3). Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. George III spoon with a shallow dint to the terminal and further dints around the edge of the bowl. The bowl also appears a little misshapen. There appear to be likely repairs around the join of the handle to the bowl and the handle is now at a slight angle. Some areas of heavier tarnishing that would benefit from a clean and polish. Some areas of residue from previous silver polishing. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
