A late 19th century silver import box, of oblong form, with embossed cherub decoration to the whole, and conforming decoration to hinged lid. Hallmarked John George Smith, London 1898, alongside the Foreign mark. Length 4.5 (11.5cm), weight 2.9 ozt (89 grams). In tired condition, with wear and rubbing to embossed decoration. Some lifting to hinged lid, but still sits flush against box. Areas of heavier tarnishing that would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks clear and legible.
