A set of four George V silver menu card holders, each modelled as a different game bird with realistic plumage detail, inset red stone eyes and standing on a circular base, in fitted case. Hallmarked John Henry Hill, London 1927. Diameter of base 1.25 (3cm), gross weight 3.35 ozt (104.3 grams). All appear in good overall condition, displaying some light surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing. Residues of polish visible in the plumage. With some light surface wear and rubbing but overall the decoration is still crisp and bright. Some of the upright bars of the stand are leaning slightly. Each hallmarked to the underside of the circular base with further town and standard marks to the base of each bird. Rubbing and slight distortion to some but mostly clear and legible. In a Mappin & Webb fitted case. With some general wear, scuffs and tears. Material lined, part velvet, part silk. Silk frayed in parts and fairly dirty. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
