An Edwardian silver matched three piece bachelor tea service, comprising teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl, each of compressed oval form upon footed base, with a band of embossed floral decoration to body, the teapot with ebonised handle and finial to the hinged cover. Hallmarked William Aitken, Chester 1901 and Birmingham 1901. Height of teapot 5.25 (13.5cm), gross weight 15ozt (466.8 grams). Generally in good condition, displaying slight surface wear, scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Some residue remains from silver polish.Finial to teapot slightly loose.All hallmarks legible, with maker's marks slightly rubbed.
