An early Victorian silver part canteen, in Albert pattern and comprising six table spoons, five dessert spoons and nine each of table forks and dessert forks, all hallmarked London, dates ranging from 1840 to 1856, various maker's marks but mainly Elizabeth Eaton. Together with three silver plated table forks in the same pattern. Approximate silver weight 77 ozt (2395 grams). (29 silver). Multiple item lot in used condition, all pieces displaying general expected surface wear, tarnishing, marks and scratches commensurate with their age and use.Heavier wear and scratches to some of the spoon bowls including to tips and edges, but they have generally faired quite well.Tips of fork tines with some heavier wear but mostly still fairly even in length.Hallmarks mostly clear and legible. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
