An early 19th century Scottish provincial fish slice, in Fiddle pattern with engraved fish detail to pierced blade. Struck four times with a pot of lilies town marks for Dundee, maker's mark partly obscured, G is visible, possibly George Booth. Length 12.25 (31cm), weight 5 ozt (158.5 grams). Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Blade slightly bent.Some areas of greater tarnishing that would benefit from a clean and polish.Scottish provincial maker's marks slightly overlapped, but legible.
