A pair of early 20th century silver-gilt casters, each of open vase form with floral swag and figurative detail, blue glass liner and a pierced domed cover, hallmarked John George Piddington, London import 1905, height to finial 6 (15cm). Together with a further continental pierced open salt with swag and ram's head decoration and glass liner, a German condiment spoon, and a pair of modern silver mounted dwarf candlesticks, hallmarked Birmingham 1970. Multiple item lot in mixed condition, all pieces displaying some general surface wear, tarnishing, marks and scratches commensurate with their age and use.Silver-gilt casters appear in fairly good overall condition. Some likely small repairs and the swags with slight movement and appear delicate. The lids with a bayonet style closing but they do not stay on very securely. Alongside the import hallmarks, there are further indistinct marks. Glass liners in good order but are likely not original. The pierced salt with probable Hanau pseudo-marks. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
