A cased set of late Victorian silver salts, each of shell form and raised on three ball feet, with four shell bowl salt spoons, hallmarked Crisford & Norris Ltd., Birmingham 1898, spoons marked sterling only with same maker's mark. Together with a cased pair of Edwardian silver twin-handled salts of oval form, hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1907, missing glass liners, and matched with two later salt spoons, Sheffield 1928. Weight 3.88 ozt (120.7 grams). All pieces displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.All would benefit from a clean and polish. A couple of repairs to ball feet of shell salts. Also repairs to a couple of the handles, one handle split in two and crudely repaired with blobs of glue visible. Some rubbing to hallmarks but mostly clear and legible. Both boxes in a worn and used condition.
