A 1930's silver teapot, of plain circular form to a footed base with stepped detail throughout, conforming stained wood handle and a circular finial to the domed, hinged lid. Hallmarked Birmingham 1937, maker's mark partly worn. Length 10 3/4 inches (27.5 cm), gross weight 15.77 ozt (490.5 grams). Displaying some general tarnishing and surface wear, marks, scratches commensurate with the age and use. A small number of minor surface dints. Some heavier wear and edge nicks around the tip of the spout. Hinged lid appears in good working order and closes almost flush. Hallmarks rubbed but legible, maker's mark partly worn.
