A Victorian silver cream jug, of slightly tapering cylindrical form with curved handle, raised upon a short circular foot, with foliate engraved decoration to the whole and personal inscription, hallmarked Josiah Williams & Co, London 1896, height 3 1/4 inches (8cm). Together with three later cream jugs, the first example hallmarked Wakely & Wheeler, London 1908, the second Northern Goldsmiths Co, Birmingham 1935, hallmarks to the third rubbed, probably Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, Birmingham 1906. Total weight 18.18 ozt (565.6 grams). (4). Victorian example with surface scratches, marks, wear and heavy tarnishing commensurate with age and use.
