A cased pair of George II silver 'berry' spoons, the gilt bowls with frilled rim and later embossed assorted fruits, with foliate decoration to handle. One spoon hallmarked John Gorham, London 1753, the other probably 1752, maker's mark illegible. Length 7 3/4 inches (19.5cm), weight 2.64 ozt (82.2 grams). With surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.Gilding to bowls very bright.Hallmarks bottom struck and appear squashed and partly distorted, more so on 1752 spoon.
