A pair of early George III Scottish silver marrow scoops, each of typical double-ended form. Hallmarked Ker & Dempster, Edinburgh 1766. One slightly longer measuring 8 1/2 inches (21 cm), total weight 2.82 ozt (87.7 grams). Both displaying some expected tarnishing and general wear with surface marks, scratches and nicks consistent with the age and use. Minor surface dints/bumps.Signs of repair around the heel of one scoop.Hallmarks to both are clear and legible with some slight rubbing or distortion along the edges of some punches.
