张晨初 1973年生于浙江台州。1992年毕业于中国美术学院美术教育系，1998年结业于中国美术学院油画系，2001年中央美术学院油画系研究生毕业，获硕士学位，师从靳尚谊，孙为民教授。2001年任教于上海师范大学美术学院绘画系。2003年进修于美国韦伯大学视觉艺术系。现为上海师范大学美术学院副教授。
Zhang Chenchu was born in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province in 1973. He graduated from Education Department and Oil Painting Department of China Academy of Art with MA in 1992 and 2001 successively. After graduation from Oil Painting Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree in 2001 where he learned from Jin Shangyi and Sun Weimin. Zhang began to teach in the Painting Department of Art College of Shanghai Normal University in 2001. In 2003, he went to U.S for further education. Currently he is associate professor in Shanghai Normal University.
