闫 平 1956年出生于山东省济南市。1983年毕业于山东艺术学院并留校任教，1989年考入中央美术学院油画创作研修班。现任中国人民大学艺术学院教授、研究生导师，中国国家画院油画院研究员、中国美协油画艺委会委员、中国油画学会理事。
Yan Ping was Born in 1956 in Jinan, Shandong Province. She graduated from Shandong University of Arts in 1983 and taught in the University after graduation. She was enrolled by the Oil Painting Workshop of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1989. She is currently professor of Art College of Renmin University of China, tutor of postgraduates, researcher of Oil Painting Institute of China National Academy of Painting, member of the Oil Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association and Director of Chinese Academy of Oil Painting.
