奈良美智 1959年出生于日本青森县。1988年曾任美术系预备校的讲师，之后前往德国，进入杜赛尔多夫艺术学院（Kunstakademie Düsseldorf）就读，师从于德国当代艺术家。其后旅居德国，开始创作并发表大型绘画和雕塑作品。2001年在日本各地有大规模的个展“我不在意，如果你忘了我”。现居于日本东京。
Yoshitomo Nara was born in Japan in 1959. In 1988, he acted as a lecturer at a art school and went to Germany for further study. Then he began his art career and held a number of solo exhibitions. Now he lives in Tokyo, Japan.
