A George IV silver-gilt snuff box, the rectangular form with floral chased curved sides to an engine turned base, the lid with further floral thumb-piece and a relief decorated panel depicting soldiers in medieval dress seated at a table and listening to a harpist playing, within scrolled and draped surround. Hallmarked Birmingham 1828, maker's mark TS, probably Thomas Shaw. Length 2.75 (7cm), weight 3.33 ozt (103.7 grams).
