A George IV silver three piece tea service, comprising teapot, twin-handled sucrier and cream jug, each of compressed melon shape with a cast rim of water lilies above a chased band to the main body of alternating acanthus leaf and flower motifs with engraved eagle crest to one side, to a conforming water lily footed base, with further foliate detail to handles and spout, gilt-wash interior to sugar and cream and the teapot with flower finial to the domed and hinged lid. Hallmarked Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard I, London 1827 and 1828. Maximum length of teapot 11.25 (28.5 cm), gross weight 53.73 ozt (1671 grams).
