An early 19th century Irish silver teapot and matching cream jug, each of shaped oblong form with gadroon rim and personal engraving above lobed decoration to lower body and each raised on four ball feet, the teapot with conforming lobed detail to the domed hinged lid and ivory finial, and with a scroll capped ivory handle. Hallmarks probably for Dublin 1811, with the maker's marks of James Le Bas and Matthew West. Maximum length of teapot 11.5 (29cm), gross weight 29.48 ozt (917 grams).
