A Victorian silver toast rack, of oblong form with seven slightly graduating looped bars and a central scrolled handle with beaded detail, raised on an openwork stretcher base with scalloped edge having a conforming bead border enclosing pierced decoration, and the whole raised on four scroll feet. Hallmarked London 1879 with maker's mark JB. Maximum length 7.75 (19.5cm), weight 9.49 ozt (295 grams).
