Philip Pearlstein (b. 1924); pencil drawing on lined yellow paper, "Portrait of Horst W Janson" signed, from the Estate of Horst W. Janson (1913-1982), historian and author of famous "History of Art" textbook; together with Louis Theodore "Ted" Davis (NYC 1908-1995), Watercolor on textured watercolor paper signed in ink and dated 1951 to front and reverse; from his "Monhegan Island Series". Both in acid-free archival matting and polished aluminum frames with welded corners. Height of Philip Pearlstein art 4 3/4 inches (12 cm.) X width of art 4 7/8 inches (12.5 cm.). Height of Ted Davis art 9 7/8 inches (25 cm.) X width of art 13 7/8 inches (35.3 cm.). PROVENANCE for Philip Pearlstein: Swann Galleries, New York circa 1983 Estate of Horst W Janson.
