此器仿商周青铜蒸食器甗之形制，《宣德彝器图谱》有相似器型之器著录。在传世的仿古器物中，甗存世数量远比鼎、簋等主要食器为少。
拍品精铜所铸，胎体厚重，体量颇大。呈上甑下鬲式，唇沿上置双立耳，耳线环扣有力。腹身四出戟，以扉棱为中心饰兽面纹四组，下衬云雷纹。鬲式三袋足亦饰兽面纹，纹饰高凸于面，立体感颇佳。
