吴山明 1941年生于浙江浦江。1964年毕业于中国美术学院中国画系人物画专业，并留校任教至今。历任中国美术学院教授、中国美协会员、浙江省人物画研究会会长、西泠印社社员。代表作有《秋瑾》、《孺子牛》。
Wu Shanming was born in Pujiang, Zhejiang in 1941. In 1964, he graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting at China Academy of Art. Wu’s works, including Qiu Jin, Willing Ox, etc., have been selected on display at national artwork exhibitions for several times. Wu has served a professor of China Academy of Art, a member of China Artists Association and Xiling Seal Engraver's Society, and President of Zhejiang Figure Painting Research Society.
