顾炳鑫 1923年生于江苏宝山（现上海）。1950年后在上海三联书店、华东人民美术出版社从事美术创作。历任上海大学美术学院国画系主任、中国美术家协会理事、上海美术家协会连环画艺委会主任。在连环画领域有“南顾北刘”之称。曾获“全国青年美展三等奖”、“全国连环画评奖二等奖”。代表作有《大地上》、《渡江侦察记》、《红岩》。
Gu Bingxin was born in Baoshan, Jiangsu (now Shanghai) in 1923. From 1950, he worked as a painter with Shanghai SJPC and East China People's Fine Arts Publishing House successively. He also served as Director of Department of Traditional Chinese Painting of College of Art of Shanghai University, Council Member of China Artists Association and Director of Comic Art Committee of Shanghai Artists Association. He is a prolific painter with many works such as On the Earth, Reconnaissance across the River and Red Rock.
