丰子恺 1898年生于浙江桐乡。名仁，字子恺，室名缘缘堂，师承李叔同、夏丏尊。曾任中国美术家协会理事、上海文史馆馆员、上海中国画院院长、上海市文联副主席、全国政协委员、上海文学艺术界联合会副主席。代表作有《护生画集》、《一钩新月天如水》。
Feng Zikai was born in Zhejiang in 1898 and studied under Li Shutong and Xia Mianzun. Originating from Tongxiang, Zhejiang Province, Feng Zikai was a Chinese painter and cartoonist. In 1921, Feng travelled to Japan to further his studies. After he returned to China, he taught art and music in Shanghai, Zhejiang and Chongqing respectively and became the editor of Kaiming Publishing House, Director of China Artists Association, President of Shanghai Artists Association, etc. He is famous for his works like Drawings to Protect Lives and A Crescent Moon in the Sky like Water.
