林风眠 1900年生于广东梅州。1920年赴法国勤工俭学，先后入迪戎美术学院、巴黎高等美术学院学习。曾任国立北平艺术专科学校校长、国立艺术学院院长、中国美术家协会上海分会副主席、上海中国画院画师。代表作有《春晴》、《江畔》、《仕女》。
Lin Fengmian was born in Meizhou, Guangdong Province in 1900 and went to France where he entered ENSBA in 1920. He served as President of Beijing National Art School and National Art Academy, Vice President of China Artists Association and a painter of Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy. His representative works include After Spring Rain, Riverbank and Court Lady.
