A 19th century 15ct gold hardstone standing seal, carved to depict the crest of Clan Murray of Scotland. Length 5.3cms. 26.1gms. Overall condition good to fair. General light to moderate wear in keeping with age. Some hardstone panels with small nicks and chips. Three of the panels appear to have been replaced. Set with various hardstones to include agate, lapis lazuli, jasper and malachite. Seal is bloodstone. Length of seal 1.3cms. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Electronically tests as approximately 16ct gold. Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals.
