A late Victorian banded agate and bloodstone necklace, with later 9ct gold back chain. Length 53cms. 34.6gms. Overall condition good. Genral light to moderate marks and wear to the metal of the main sections. Later back chain appears in good condition. Some localised file marks to one of the gold caps on one of the agates. Back chain section appears to be later added. With 9ct gold import marks for Sheffield, 1989. Agates and bloodstone in good condition with some light marks and abrasions. Metal to the main sections tests as approximately 9-11ct gold. Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked.
