Two Chinese blanc de Chine joss stick holders, Qing dynasty (1644-1911), each in the form of a Buddhist lion, seated on a rectangular plinth, with his front paw on a ball, 26.5 and 27.5cm high, and two smaller examples, 14.5cm high (4) Provenance: An English private collection. Condition report: Large pair - one chipped to tongue and tail, tail restored. The other fully restored, both fangs chipped. Both with firing cracks and frits to edges in various places. Small pair - both with chips in various places. One with holder restored.
