A Chinese wood stand, Qing dynasty (1644-1911), the rectangular top carved as fabric with four corners falling off to the sides, decorated with scrolling lotus and inset bats and clouds in soapstones, the waisted sides on bracket feet carved with archaic scrolls, 38.2cm wide 21cm deep 13.5cm high Provenance: The property of Warren Hastings Anderson (1796-1875) of Beldornie, Ryde, by repute. 清 木雕宝相花纹底座 Condition report: Splits in various places. Chips throughout. Some soapstone damaged, some inserted attachment missing. Surface scratches and general wear. Drilled holes to base.
