A pair of George III silver sugar tongs, by Peter, Anne and William Bateman, London 1799, with bright-cut decoration, 14cm long, a pair with foliate chased bowls, a pair with acorn-shaped bowls, and five further examples, 8.4ozt (8) Condition report: Tarnish, rubbing and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Some scratches and tiny dents. Some misshapen. Some bowl points knocked and dented slightly. Splits and possible repair to one bowl.
