A mahogany longcase clock, 18th century, by Thomas Wheeler, London, the hood with a blind fret arch, brass stop fluted columns, cast brass cherub and crown side panels and brass flaming urn finials, the arched silvered dial inscribed 'Wheeler London' and with strike/silent in the arch, subsidiary seconds and date dials, the five-pillar movement striking the hours on a bell, with two brass weights and a heavy pendulum with flattened wooden rod, 54cm wide 23cm deep 237cm high Condition report: Deterioration to polish in places, repaired top hinge to hood door.
