雪山大士又名悉达多太子苦行，是释迦牟尼成佛之前苦修的形象。此尊螺发大耳，面相平和，略带微笑，似在沉思冥想。造像瘦骨嶙峋，肋骨清晰可见，左腿横盘，右腿向上支起，两手相叠置于右膝。经佛典记载，悉达多太子在尼连河西岸优楼频陀村外的苦行林中静坐思维，入定修行，用自己的智慧光明，照彻一心本源，每天除了只吃一粒麻与一粒麦来充饥，就是以禅悦为食，最后得到法喜充满。此尊形象刻划生动，将释迦牟尼心身不动、苦行修道的性格特质塑造得淋漓尽致。参阅：广州华艺2014秋季拍卖LOt2098号 明 铜雪山大士 成交价：92000
