汉代的咬尾龙题材环形佩属于经典器形，通常雕饰一条龙首尾相接成圆环形。这件汉代风格的咬尾龙玉佩形制较为特殊，并非常见的圆形，龙的尾部曲卷形成类似同心圆的造型。咬尾龙以白玉为料，玉质温润，沁色黑里透红，脂油拌酱之感，呈扁平状。玉龙昂首前视，头顶留皮处巧雕龙角，眼圆而微突，眼角稍长，咀咬尾部，龙足肌肉隆起，一上一下搭于尾端，龙身镂雕绕成一环状，并以阴刻细线刻画龙身皱褶及纹饰。此白玉咬尾龙属于汉代经典的龙佩造型。有别于一般平面造型之龙佩，此咬尾龙设计巧妙，层次丰富，栩栩如生，而其龙首正面向前亦使其与众不同，加上玉匠刻画细腻，鬼斧神工。
