白玉香盘，满工，中心雕有花形插孔，花瓣饱满，均匀下翻分布。盘内浅刻两组饕餮纹，呈对称布局。饕餮纹刻画得清晰细致，双眼中间鼻与眉相连，具有威严神秘之感。玉香盘口沿整琢回纹，无论形制、雕工都具有宫廷特征。清宫旧藏有陶瓷香插、玉香插，形制与之相同，中间开孔处便是线香插置之处。焚香为古代四大雅事之一，从这件做工精细的香盘可以看出清代宫廷对用香的重视与讲究。
