此戏狮罗汉以黄杨木为材，沿袭经典造型，瘦骨嶙峋，丰额，浓髯，面含笑意，神态静谧。耸肩屈肘，上身袒露，下披宽袍，左手撑地，右手扶膝，左腿横盘，右腿屈立，似在坐禅思考。右膝之上瑞狮抬足扑向罗汉，阔口咧舌，舔舐其面颊，顽皮之态尽显。
当年此造像者，定深谙佛理，借刻刀弘扬梵音妙果，罗汉历历可数的脊肋，着力彰显无我之境，罗汉消瘦，却面容慈祥柔和，将佛家至高的“止息散心，专注一境”的禅定气象表现的淋漓尽致。
